NIMHANS Psychiatric and Neurological Rehabilitation Center

It is relocated into a new building located opposite the State Bank of India inside the NIMHANS Campus. Rehabilitation means the action of restoring someone to health or normal life through training and therapy after imprisonment, addiction, or illness.

The Department of Neurological Rehabilitation in NIMHANS has the uniqueness of being the only department in the country which runs super-specialty rehabilitation services in the form of Neurological Rehabilitation.

The emphasis in psychiatric rehabilitation has shifted from “just keeping patients occupied” to “recovery for community reintegration”. Hence, we consider our services to be “Recovery Oriented Services (ROSeS)”

The aim of the team is to provide services which promote recovery, beyond only the alleviation of symptoms of psychiatric disorders.
